Betsy Connors Acme Holography
AboutMy work in holography is concerned with creating works that bridge technology with nature as content, often as installations that use computers or mechanical devices, to simulate the motion of wind and light moving. The works, inspired by a concern for the environment, depict nature imagery in the form of holographic landscapes. In some of the works, impressions of light are captured by the movement of wind on the leaves of a tree or light moving across a pond. The works are generally made up of multiple holograms and can range in height and width from 2 x 3 x 3 feet up to 20 x 20 feet at depths up to seven feet. The works, created using a laser and lit by ordinary white light, have been displayed in private and public spaces and in windows of galleries and store fronts.Detailed CV
